I am a student achiever customer and I went to the back asking for advise in terms of bank charges. The bank informed me that I need not worry I get 1 free withdrawal per month within the bank and wont get charged and that I will only be charged R4.00 for 1 withdrawal from another account no matter the amount. So I left enough money in my account for my debit order only to find out that I now have a R238 once off bank charge for my withdrawal and that has left my bank balance at negative leading to interest being charged on my account. This is ridiculous, the point of me going to the bank was to understand exactly what will happen and here I get the wrong information where I am prejudiced against. I am no longer a satisfied client and intend on switching all my accounts and that of my families to a bank who is concerned with customer service!
