FNB NOT LIVING UP TO BRAND PROMISE

Business & Finance

On Tuesday 18-06-2013 at 09:43 I walked in to FNB Woodmead to enquire about what other options are available to withdraw money received via E-Wallet, I proceeded to the collections counter and spoke to Tsholofelo who was manning the desk. I greeted her and asked her my question, she informed me that I can use a FNB ATM located outside. I explained to her that there was no money in the ATM's Thsolofelo informed me she doesn't know any other option and I should ask one of the service consultants as she doesn't deal with E-wallets. Shocked by her response and complete lack of product knowledge would be a gross understatement, she might not know the full details of all products but should at least be in a position to assist and explain to customers FNB's product range. She proceeded to call one of her colleagues Nonthando Hlatswayo to assist me, I explain my dilemma to her and she also didn't have the foggiest idea what other options are available. Gone are the days when consumers accept any kind of mediocre service that has for the longest time been dished out by the banks in South Africa. This is simply unacceptable.
