On the 20/10/12 Germiston suffered a sever hail storm causing damage to many cars & houses. Hail larger than golf came pelting down breaking windows, glass doors, solar panels & damaging a section of our roof. The damage was reported to Std Bank 31/10/12, they were quick & efficient in allocating reference numbers & contractors. It took approx 6 weeks for Glass & Pool contractors to conclude repairs due to services being in demand. Building contractor took 5 months, he misplaced our claim. Told Std Bank it was old damage & the claim was repudiated. We made it clear to Std Bank that we were not happy with his assessment & Std bank informed us to get a quote from an independant contractor & to send it to SIL Communications. The quote together with photos of the hail size were sent to them 07/05/13&24/05/13 & again 11/06/13. In addition we have called them several times & to date have had no feedback or response.
