I applied for Customer Assist by Standard Bank on the 27/11/12. I expected feedback on 20/12/12. I received no response until I went into the southdale branch today for assistance. I received a call from Trivani who advised my application was declined on affordability. She gave me no details on what the repayment will be or the term of the repayment prior to advising me that the application was declined. She made no effort to give me options. I asked for the matter to be escalated to her manager and she advised that she is a manager and the decision with her though it can be escalated to a senior manager & once that decision is made, it is final. I logged a complaint with Standard Bank on my dis-satisfaction of her willingness to assist me further. Trivani called me back and was adamant that there were no options to assist me. After requesting escalation again, Trivanis manager by the name of Nomshoda Ponty contacted me within 5 minutes of my call with Trivani and advised she has assessed the application and agrees with Trivani's decision. Leaves much to one's dismay that an application can be assessed within 5 minutes and yet again no assistance nor options!
