No assistance from s.a's "Number One" bank

I am very disappointed in the service that i received from standard bank. I applied for customer assist and sent thru the required documents on the 23.08.2013 and also gave them a call to confirm whether they received all the documents. Imtiyas advised that everything is in order and he will submit everything. I was told the process takes 10 to 15 business days. I had not received a single call from standard bank ever since... i decided to give them a call and use up my own airtime just to find out what the progress is on my application. A lady by the name of zanele answer the phone so i asked if everything is in order and her response was that my application had been withdrawn because i did not send thru my bank statements. Nobody gave me a call to say that the bank statements is needed to process my request. And when standard bank sent me the application form it clearly stated that if i bank with standard bank, they don't need my bank statement. Worst part of all, i was told to sumbit all the forms again and then now it will take longer as they have a back log and are only busy with July applications meaning I will have to start all over again. What kind of service is this??
