I opened a new acc beginning December. I asked for an acc with lowest monthly fees. The person who helped, opened a Plus Plan. I was told if I keep R500 in the account, there will be NO fees.

I could not access the acc on the internet and had to go back to the bank, for the internet banking to be set up again, after I spent hours on my cell. Eventually I had to change my pins and password. Nobody had an idea why this happened!

With a shock I discovered every transaction had a fee of R4.50 and cash withdrawals up to R16.50. Again I tried to change this per cell, to a fixed monthly fee, but was referred to the bank again. I was told by the lady who helped me that she had no idea why a Plus Plan Acc was opened by the first lady, and an Access Acc, which she claimed is the second cheapest in SA, but again I get charged per transaction.

She linked the accounts, but every transaction I tried was rejected and I feel like a fool! I found the Acc Acc disappeared from my internet banking. Again I held for 20 min on my cell and the person in the bank today claimed he had no idea why this happend!! I still cannot make debit transactions. I withdrew R100 and the ATM only gave me R80!!
