I have just returned from Standard bank for the 04th time in almost 3 months regarding my cheque card. A few months ago the Atm swallowed my card, I then received a message to collect my new card at the branch. When I went to branch they issued me with a new debit card and not cheque card as per my cheque account. I was then informed I need to order a new cheque card which I did. Two months passed by and I did not receive any notification from the bank informing my card was ready for collection. When I went to collect I stood in a long queue during my lunch time when I got to the front they checked and told me the card was there but they sent it back due to not collecting. I said welll I wouldve appreciated if someone had informed me the card was ready for collection. I then requested that they return the card to the branch, that was a month ago. When I went there now I was informed that the card is not there and that I need to order it again. Im shocked! The staff arent friendly and seem uninterested, its impossible obtaining funds that Ive already qualified for on my bond and I have had it with Standard bank going to close my account with them!
