Dear Standard Bank,

I have been banking with you since 1988.

Firstly, when I opened my check account, I clearly stated that I did not wish to have a cheque card. But every time my credit card is renewed, I receive a renewed cheque card as well. And every time I clearly request that the cheque card should be cancelled, and yet, this does not happen.

Secondly, my credit card was renewed earlier this year and I went to the bank to collect it. I was told that the new card could be used immediately. I asked if my pin should be loaded onto the new card, and was told that this was unnecessary. Not surprisingly, when I tried to use my card later that day with my usual pin number, it did not work. I had to go back to the bank, explain my situation, and was then told that the card was a new card entirely, and a pin number should be uploaded.

Thirdly, I went to the bank to increase the limit on my internet banking account last month. This was great, until this morning, when I received an sms to inform me that the limit was returned to the original limit. Turns out that the limit was not set permanently. Now I have to go back to the branch, AGAIN.
