I switched from a Savings to a Cheque Account at Standard Bank and they told me they would sort out all five of my debit orders for me. The short story is that they were obviously unable to switch all five debit orders, must have been too difficult and my debit order for my car insurance ended up bouncing on my old account. Now my insurance company hasn't been paid and I' ve been charged bank fees for not having the full amount in my old account which I was planning on closing anyways.
