I am on the Comprehensive Option with EssentialMEd.

I gave essentialMEd a call on 3 Jan 2013 to request my newborn daughter to be added to my policy, as well as removing the Hospital Plan option as I did not need that cover anymore through essentialMEd. I was advised I cannot Phone IN to make those changes, that I need to fax or email a completed form to essentialMEd.

Kevin Liebenberg, the gentleman I spoke to emailed me a form to complete and I proceeded to print, complete and scan the document. I choose to send the completed form via email on the 3rd of January, which I did to [Email Removed] from my google gmail account. I have the evidence.

Today (2nd May 2013) I want to make a claim with the Insurer for my daughter and I called them to confirm the process and the cover I have, only to be told that my daughter is NOT on the policy and that I still have Hospital Cover meaning I have been paying an extra premium (R400pm) than what I asked for and they will not cover any claims for my daughter. To add salt to the wound, they say they will only add my daughter onto the policy on the 1st of June 2013.
