I bought a Groupon for accommodation on a specified date. The advert differentiated between two dates and i purchased the most expensive as the date for accommodation was available sooner.

When i called the supplier I was informed that the accommodation was fully booked and was not available on any of the dates I was available. I immediately contacted Groupon and requested a refund. I would not usually complain but an amount of R2299.00 is exorbitant.

I was in contact with a certain Waseema who assured me that the problem was sold. I received an email informing me that the problem was solved! To the contrary, I have not received my money back; I don't want to redeem any credit, just for the amount to be put into my banking details.

I'm at my wits end trying to negotiate the terms relating my money. I cancelled within the prescribed time, and have been more than patient.

To everyone else, think twice about Groupon. If it's too good to be true, it is and don't part with money you are not willing to loose
