I have requested a refund for 2 Groupon vouchers that I am unable to use because the entity that has offered the deal is fully booked until the expiry date of the vouchers, I have tried for the past 2 weeks to make a reservation and they come back to say that they are fully booked until the 21st of December, which is the expiry date of the voucher.
Yusuf Sadan from Groupon has come back to me saying that my request for a refund has been declined due to the fine print of the voucher which states the following:
Valid until 21 December 2013. Reservation required five days in advance: 061 0913175. Accommodation bookings which are cancelled within a month of arrival, are non-refundable and non-changable. Two-day cancellation policy applies. No other food or beverage on premises. Gratuity not included. No sharing. No takeaways. Subject to availability.
Now there they are talking about accommodation reservations, where the Groupon that I purchased was for a wine tasting - I do not see how this is relevant
I think it is more than fair to be granted this refund that will be spent with Groupon anyway - as they do not give cash refunds
