I joined Groupon in Aug '12 and bought 6 vouchers totalling R936. I received a mail on the 15th confirming the order and another on the 16th with vouchers attached. Also on the 16th I received another mail requesting "Identification verification", requesting a copy of my credit card (front & back) as well as a copy of my ID. On this mail was stated: "Failure of this will result in the reversal of the transactions" & "alternatively contact us so that we may assist you through the process" I phoned them on the 17th and said I do not feel comfortable sending copies of my cc and ID (banks are continuously warning their customers not to do this!) I said they can rather reverse the money. I received a mail from Lindo on the 17th confirming my call and that someone from Groupon will contact me. I must've made about 10 calls after this, speaking to one agent after the other, requesting to speak to supervisors (then put on hold and cut off after 10-15 min). NO ONE from Groupon ever phoned me back and the money was also NEVER reversed! I wanted to claim one of the vouchers today, only to be informed that they cannot help me as I've been suspended from Groupon (but they kept my money)
