Refund not credited

After requesting a refund from Groupon I was sent an email stating that they will refund me in full and that it would reflect in my account within 48 hours.
A week after receiving the email I had not received the refund so I emailed them. No response by the next day so I phoned them. This time I was told that they will escalate the matter and refund me immediately.
Another week passes with no feedback and no refund. I call again.
Now I'm told that they can only credit me R500 a day so the full refund will take 8 working days to complete but they will start the process today. What kind of nonsense is this??
Why would any company be unable to complete a refund in one step over one day?? Poor technology or stupid people??? And why must a customer have to beg fr feedback? Pathetic service and ridiculous refund policy!!!
