We booked six tickets online to accompany my father in law to visit his ageing brother for his birthday (birth certificate attached and sent to airline). We where due to depart the 12th April 2013. We where going to live with him during our visit and we made no other accommodation arrangements.

He unfortunately got ill quite quick and subsequently passes away. We notified the airline of our cancellation and later sent them the death certificate. They refunded an amount of R 2 969 per ticket of R 6 019, I feel that we gave them enough notice (24/01/13) and surely the cancellation due to the death of the person we are visiting is beyond our control and warrants a full refund. We are to date till waiting for some reply or the remaining refund of R 18 300, 00.
