On the 10th March 2013, my daughter boarded an Intercity Xpress coach in Port Shepstone KZN en route to Midranad after a 5 day vacation, Her luggage was placed in the under compartment of the coach Number ELIX784524. Intercity 8.
Upon arrival at the Star Shop in Midrand, She discovered that her luggage was not there, She was then advised by the Driver/conductor (William) that during a stop in Amanzimtoti, an unknown person the luggage from an unlocked compartment, however at the time they could not persue the person due to time restraints,
My daughter is 21 yrs old has no insurance and has lost items exceeding R12000, 00, the case was reported to midrand SAPS on the evening of the 10th March 2013 per Intercity Xpress instructions.
To date, we have made countless call, to numerous people including their legal dept, and management, spending even more money on telephone costs, Not even one person including a senior legal manager by the name of Faheem had the courtesy to try and get back with a simple "we apologise" or "there is nothing we can do"
I would suggest in future, if anyone intends using this bus service, Please Dont...
