I booked a Kulula airline ticket on behalf of my father on 19 March 2013. Everything went smoothly and without a hitch. Today he phoned me to say that he is worried as he has not received notification from his bank saying that the money has come off his account. I phoned Kulula. After a 40 minute conversation, including a conversation with a supervisor named Eban, I am nowhere! I was told that I had to rebook the ticket but the increased price would be an additional R900! They cannot tell me what went wrong, or why, nor can they give me any reasonable explanation or reassurance that it will not happen again. I rebooked it some minutes later at the increased price, but did again not receive confirmation, so I call them back. Of course they cannot help me as there is some problem with internet booking and the Discovery discount (which I was able to use as he is a Vitality member) I just have to wait and book again in a half hour or so!!! So, in essence, a ticket which I thought was booked, is in fact not booked, and now I must try again, but the price will be escalated, and it may be more than R900! What a waste of a morning, and still not ticket and no explanation!
