I made a bus booking for my son who then missed his bus (ticket refference number: 11333082851754501 - Mncedi Dunywa). The bus was for 22/03/2013 from PTA to EL, to depart at 17h00. He missed the bus in Pretoria and rushed to Johannesburg park station where he also missed it as he arrived there at 18h30. After quering with at the intercape offices at park station, he was told that he would have to pay an additional fee of R218.00 in order to purchase a new ticket for today (23/03). This afternoon as i try make the additional payment of R218 at my nearest convenient Intercape branch, they inform me that the ticket has been cancelled and that we forfeit any kind of refund. I then immediately call the Intercape reservations number (spoke to a Mr Emmanuel) and discover that if we report to an intercape branch within 3hours after the bus had departed (if one misses the bus) you get a refund voucher of 25% less the original ticket price. Now my complaint is that why did the person who was busy explaining to my son about the additional cost of R218 not then immediately give him his voucher less 25%? Couldnt she not explain the 25% cut and just print a voucher? Coz my son still qualified
