On 05/06/13 I booked a ticket from Intercape Bus Services at Checkers in Canal Walk for my brother and my 2 year old son. According to the cashier at Checkers, only children over the age of 3years pay. She sold me a ticket for my brother only due to my son's age. The following day I sent the reference number to my brother as my son had an urgent doctor's appointment in Cape Town 07/06/13. When arriving at the bus terminus, they were chased away like dogs due to my son not having a ticket. As sick as my son was, they were stranded at a garage in the cold. They contacted me to inform me what happened. I called Intercape to find out exactly what happened. I spoke to Ren? Mamford and Chantel Brown who informed me that their policy states that kids 18months and older should pay. The only thing they can do is cancel the ticket and I then have to pay a 10% cancellation fee. I refuse to be penalized, as Checkers is at fault. The manager at Checkers informed me that their T's and C's are different to Intercape's. NOT MY PROBLEM! Checker's manager confirmed that I should not have paid for my son and that Intercape needs to update their details with their 3rd parties. I WANT ALL MY MONEY BACK!!
