Traveling & Tourism

To Whom It May Concern
I'm a regular air traveller and almost never use SAA as I have never received anything but poor service. This latest trip to PE and then to CPT has as usual not failed in this regard.
I flew from JHB to PE on Tues 5 march and requested a Gluten Free meal, this was not loaded on the flight so guess what, no dinner for me. Then to make matters worse the light above my seat that would've enabled me to read (whilst NOT enjoying my dinner) also did not work. Fantastic!!!
Now I've just checked in for my flight from PE to CPT (Thurs 7 March, SA1824) to CPT. My checked bag which is EXACTLY THE SAME CHECKED BAG THAT I FLEW FROM JHB WITH was opened and I had to remove the Co2 canisters that were in it. Now I have no problem if these are the 'rules' but my questions are: what about the flight from Jhb to PE and what about the other 100s of flights I take a year when these things are NOT removed! It's inconceivable that on some flights they get confiscated at a cost to ME of R25 each and (MANY) others not. I find it to be extremely strange that you fly with pressurised oxygen cylinders in the cabin which are 10 times bigger than mine and these are ok?
