Checking in at King Shaka, with 2 dogs and parrot, for our RETURN flight home. Check in assistant says that she can not let the parrot aboard as they do not check birds in. She then calls her supervisor, Susan Buser. For the record, the parrot was checked in at Cpt, with Kulula and flew to Durban. We have also done this 3 times in the last year between Durban and Cpt. Never have we ever encountered a problem, UNTIL today. Susan offered no service or help at all, she merely stated that the bird is not allowed. She offered no solution and when we told her this is how we flew she wouldn't believe us and basically called us liars. Thankfully we had the receipt for the animals flight to Durban on us. She then just stated that Cape Town made an error and she will investigate. When we told her we can't just leave the parrot behind, she said go to Cargo and see if they can help. Her solution was that maybe the staff bus would take us there if we asked nicely. At this stage, my sister and the kids were crying as Susan was just rude. She then said everyone is hysterical and she will offload them all from the plane. Kulula was absolutely incompetent, rude and totally pathetic today!!!
