It takes almost 3 months to acknowledge email

I have been having problems with my SAA Voyager account due to them having multiple accounts for me, one in my maiden name and one in my married name. I sent an email to them on 22 March to the address [Email Removed] I attached my ID document and asked them to amalgamate my accounts, as advised by the call centre agent. I received a response today 14 June 2013, saying
We hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 14-Jun-2013. (the email was sent on the 22 March?)
Please be advised that we require both account numbers to merge the two. Kindly be advised to resend your enquiry with the ID copy attached for the request to be auctioned. We look forward to your response and assisting you further.
so my question is, why did it take over 2 months, why cant they look up my account number, why do I have to resend my ID?
just wont use SAA anymore I guess, that's easier than trying to comply with this poor service delivery.
