I cancelled an international flight more than a month up-front and SAA refunds only about 30% of the amount which is very unfair. First they said they do not refund the R1400 airport taxes, which I was unhappy about already, but next after not receiving the rest of the refund I phoned to find out. It turns out that my Internet / Web cancellation was not sent through to the refund department as I need to call them manually (but off course the web cancellation did not tell or email me to tell me that) - so now another month later I phoned them, only to find out they also just refund 50% of the booking fee of R2100. So I loose my airport tax and I loose 50% of the booking costs - even though I cancelled two months up front! This seems to be daylight to me...!
