No mileagekeeper tickets available on SAA website

I have been attempting to book Mileagekeeper tickets on the SAA website for the past month, waiting for a chance when there will actually be tickets available. However, despite trying almost 50 different date variations (all out of peak season) I have found that it is impossible to get a return Mileagekeeper ticket. If I am lucky I get 1 going in 1 direction but cant get the return flight or vice versa.

Being in the IT industry I have a strong suspicion that SAA have either built in such a low number of Mileagekeeper tickets into each flight i.e. only 1 or 2 which is absolutely ridiculous, or, I suspect that they have coding built into their system to not allow a return mileagekeeper flight.

No-one at SAA seems to give a stuff though, as luckily for them, we the taxpayers get to bail them out every couple of years so they dont have to worry about good customer service and keeping customers happy. If they provided better service and a fair business model for their loyalty programme, perhaps they would be self-sustaining.

Does anyone have any further light they can shed on the Mileagekeeper scenario since I cant get anything from SAA?
