False Advertising

A family member wants to book a flight from Perth Australia to Johannesburg on the 10th of April returning on the 21st of April.

When i try to book online after selecting the price options i get an error "No valid Fare classes exist for chosen option. Please choose a different option".

Upon phoning SAA to do the booking the system quotes me over $2000 (AU) meanwhile on the website the price is advertised as $1432.7

The call center suggested i book telephonically but can only offer the higher price and suggests that the website has an error.

The consumer protection act states that "Suppliers are not permitted to mislead consumers in respect of pricing, the nature, properties, advantages or uses of goods or services advertised, if such goods or services are not actually available for purchase or procurement in accordance with these standards."

THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING and i do not have the luxury of sitting around waiting for tickets to become more expensive.
