In December I used Sleeping out website and made a booking (transferred money) on 24 December 2013 to secure Hart Cottage in Durban as it was available at the time. The following day, I received an email response from the establishment indicating that their accommodation had already been booked despite the fact that it had reflected as being available online. I then booked myself into another accommodation using a different agency. I requested that I be refunded. Since then I have been contacting sleeping out to enquire about this and all they could say is that they were still waiting for Hart Cottage to refund the money. Its been almost a month of waiting for my refund and I really fail to understand how can I be inconvenienced like this having not used the accommodation secured. Sleeping out never even bothered to provide feedback on this matter. They only responded to my enquiry upon me contacting them. I am really appalled by their service and have made an undertaking not to ever use them again including Hart. What I have sensed is passing of the buck. One minute I was told the money was transferred and the other I was told that the money hasn't been transferred. Im disappointed.
