Not honouring a paid booking

My wife booked accommodation at Lothlorien Cottage in Hogsback and sent me the link to make payment. I get a quote that says I have 5 days to pay. I make payment right away but then the next day my wife gets a call from SafariNow to say they can't take our booking because the establishment is already booked. When I phoned to complain SafariNow said that their quote was subject to availability and somebody supposedly booked and paid at the same time just a bit quicker.

Now why did I have to pay within 5 days if you aren't holding the accommodation for me anyway? Surly by asking someone to pay within 5 days you are acting in good faith and holding the booking. If an establishment is not willing to hold the accommodation for that long give the customer 1 or 2 days to pay.

So I phone Lothlorien Cottage to find out that their other booking had been in place for some time. It seems to me that SafariNow are accepting my money without even establishing if there is availability.

SafariNow you are messing your customers about either directly or by proxy. I certainly won't be booking accommodation through you again, it is better just to contact the relevant guest house directly.
