On Monday the 6th jan 2014, I boarded a intercape bus in Johannesburg destined for east london. Having not used a bus for the journey in over 10 years, I was quite excited. However my excitement quickly turned to disbelief then sheer disgust within minutes of the bus leaving park station. The reclining seat I am sitting on is broken! So if I move it goes back to its upright position. The crew calmly said `oh that 1 is broken' when I asked about it. An irritating rattle started as soon as we hit the first bump somewhere in the aircon compartment. So each time the bus goes over a bump all i hear is rattling. The air vents above me have no covers so cold is just flowing in and I can't shut it off. When this was raised with the crew, I was supplied with a roll of paper towel to try resolve both issues. How nice! Now i have pieces of paper towel not completely regulating air. On the road 3 hours regretting my choice of service provider big time. If I could I would get off at the next stop and find alternative transport!!! So much for a luxury coach service. Nee dankie, not again!
