17 hours to get from Pretoria to Komatipoort

Bus departure time scheduled for 05h45 on Saturday 21 Dec in N1 Midrand depot for estimated time of arrival 14h14 . Well... Shuttle Bus arrived more than 1 hour late, took passangers to Jozi Depot where they stood in a queu until 10h00 before Mozambique bus arrived - Bus then broke down at Macharadorp plaza - eventually arrived at the Mozambique Border after 22h00!!! No sms communication from the bus company - my Nephew was stranded on the bus, his parents were frantic as they did not know where the bus was or what time it would arrive at the destination - 17 hours on a trip that was scheduled to take no more than 7 hours???
