MN 100 CPT to JHB

This morning I was booked on MN 100 from CT to JNB. There was an SMS at 05:20 advising a 'delay' of 4hrs. I arrived in JHB late, missed a full morning of meetings and when inquirng about compensation, the arrogantly answered that they had found me a flight 3hrs later and that that was 'fair' and i should be grateful. Also that if i wanted my money back (R1k) I should cancel my ticket. Almost wanted to say, sure lets do that but then i charge u my billable rate for 4 hrs.

It has cost me missed meetings and half a day of leave now it is appropriate that i book the leave.

Today in fact, Comair would have made a significant profit as by 'cancelling' one flight, they ensured all their other Kulula and BA flights were full, not incurring the cost of flying empty planes and they have loss of income insurance for the plane being grounded for a technical fault (although i think this way just suited them better).

Still no compensation offered and let me guess - all they might offer is a R400 voucher to try compensate the damage whilst they pocket the majority.

To busy focusing on competition commission appeals to actually serve the client who should be 'king'.
