Unacceptable Mango Refund Procedure

Good Morning,

This letter I write with extreme impatience due to a fault that is NOT mine.

On the 3rd of October I was meant to fly to Port Elizabeth on Mango Airlines for the wedding of one of my best friends. Upon arrival and attempting to book in at O.R. Thambo airport I was told that I was not booked for the flight as the booking was cancelled due to non payment.

The payment had gone through from my side after attempting to use the SID system for payment for the flight but still no booking was made. In a rush to travel to Port Elizabeth I had to pay once again for two seats at the last minute.

This put me R2000 out of the pocket for something that I did not receive.

I lodged a claim with Mango refunds in the correct manner and after 7 days the answer given to me is that the claim has been approved but it will only take 7 - 14 days to pay the money back to me.

This is utterly unacceptable.

The fact that due to a fault on the side of Mango Airlines I will have to wait a MONTH from the date of payment to get MY OWN money back is completely unacceptable.

R2000 is a lot of money and it has put me in a very difficult financial position for this month.
