Unacceptable Flight Cancellation Policies

I had to cancel my flight booking with Mango Airlines due to unforeseen reasons, and it was probably my fault for not reading the fine print, but it is totally unacceptable that Mango Airlines does not give any sort of refund on flight cancellations. To top it off they cannot even keep your flight on hold (as do all other Airline companies and even bus companies in South Africa). So you lose all your money. The only way you can keep it is to make an immediate booking for another date, which costs you about R170 extra. I think this is impossible for most people because you cannot just make another booking off hand. This was my first time using Mango, I do not think I will ever use Mango in the future even if they were the last Airline still operating! This has been an expensive lesson, R990 poorer.
