I booked flights using my Voyager miles on 17/07. After paying the required airport taxes, I realized that I had booked on the incorrect date. I then requested the transaction reversed, and my miles returned. This was done within a day, but I was advised that the airport taxes would be refunded between 6-8 weeks. This is now the 9th week, and I still have not been refunded. On querying, I was informed that my refund has still no reached processing! This is unacceptable, and SAA management needs to respond to their inefficiencies. I have had to do a similar exercise on British Airways recently, and imagine my surprise when my funds were refunded within a day! I have had to pay a cancellation fee to SAA which I find totally unacceptable in lieu of my funds not being timeously refunded.
