Booking cancelled - no alternative given

Just want to find out if this is the normal procedure from travelground and the establishments they work with.

I had a confirmed booking with them and was sent an email by the establishment that i must just insure that i pay before the 15th August 2013. Ref no TG-44R1J

My big mistake i didnt pay much earlier. To my shock i receive a call on the 14th August from the travelground call centre (think from Thandeka) saying that Jenni from the establishment says the same pc she mailed me from had issues and she couldnt see that the chalet was actually booked? HOW?

Now im left stranded and must frantically search again for an alternative. Is that fair? They didn't even say we apologize and we will help you get something else. I was only told that IF we get anything we will email you. Kayleigh offered to help in Chantell's absence. Its 10:22 i am still waiting for an email.
I love the website but im greatly disappointed, i must say!
