My husband and I were booked on Flight MN 454 on 3rd January 2013. We received 2 text messages telling us the flight was twice delayed for 2 hours. We arrived at Cape Town airport at 6pm and only by looking at the Arrival/Departures board were we informed that the flight was delayed till 12.45am. Later the board informed us that the flight was again delayed till 1.25am on 4th January. We were given a voucher for a meal for approximatley R65 each and a small bottle of water and a packed of chips each.
There was absolutely no communication from a member of Kulula staff and, people who tried to find someone to talk to, were brushed aside. I had recently had a back operation and was in a lot of pain sitting for all those hours at the airport. We arrived at Johannesburg Lanseria airport at 3.30am on Friday morning and had to get my brother out of bed to travel for 30 minutes to collect us from the airport. There was no mention of compensating us in any way.
