Bumped off flight and badly dealt with

We were flying from CPT to JHB on 25/05/13 to conduct an urgent deal by 12:00 on Saturday.
- After paying a premium for the early flight, checking in online a day before and arriving at the airport early on the day of departure, we were told we'd been "bumped off" the flight.
- Little explanation was offered by Team Leader, Liz Tavarez, other than "other passengers had priority".
- We were transferred to a flight which was later cancelled. For the second time, there was no communication of the issue until we were at the gate.
- We were offered a transfer to a Mango flight which would've arrived in JHB too late, rendering our trip pointless.
- After much arguing, we were transferred to a BA flight which arrived in JHB just in time.
- The SAA staff were rude and unsympathetic - they couldn't have cared less about our business in JHB.
- In the frantic rush, we incurred additional costs to get to our destination in time.
- The rush was the very thing we'd wanted to avoid.
- The whole experience ruined the trip.
- Very poor service and communication from the SAA staff.
