I recently made a flight reservation to fly to Durban on the Saturday 15th June 2013 to attend a family wedding, returning the same day in the evening. My flight times Departing from Lanseria were 10.20H returning from Durban at 18.30H
Sometime after the booking was made I received a SMS from Kulula saying that the return flight had been cancelled and was moved to an earlier flight, leaving Durban at 14.30H. This would be totally unacceptable as the wedding is at 15.00H. as no other flights were available, I had no option but to cancel my reservation.
I was then told that a refund would only be made for the return trip which is ludicrous. I would never have made a reservation in the first place, if there was not a suitable return time. After much deliberation and having to rant and rave they agreed to a refund, which now I believe takes between 6 - 8 weeks How come?? WHEN I paid it was immediate.
I have always enjoyed flying with Kulula but this episode has left a bitter feeling about them.
