Holiday Club - an asset or headache??

We were impressed by what the Holiday Club could offer us. We have paid our deposit (in cash) in good faith, not to mention the monthly levies that are paid via debit order, on time EVERY month. Unfortunately, only once you want to start going on holiday you realise that they're NOTHING what they've promised to be. At the moment we have accumulated about 3 years' points that we can't use because every time we contact their reservation line, you get told that the places you're looking for are all fully booked and that you must phone back the following week?? How is that possible if your book is showing that the times we wanted to go there are 'Low Out'? The same story repeats itself every time you want to make a booking!! For instance in 2009, I've phoned in December to book for March, I was told that the bookings aren't open yet and I must phone back in January. I've phoned them the 1st week in January and already all the places were full booked?? We would like all our money refunded & cancellation of our contract. If necessary we will take this matter further with the Ombudsman if we don't get an acceptable solution from The Holiday Club.
