About 5 weeks ago, I received a call from a Cell C agent who said that I would be receiving a free Blackberry Z10 handset for being a good, loyal customer for so many years. After this call, I heard nothing for about 2 weeks and after many calls to the Call Centre and lack of answers to my e-mails, I tracked down the agent from Retentions who had called me. One agent in the call centre actually e-mailed me back to say that there was no promotion running where I would receive a free handset. Nobody seemed to know anything and apparently, there were no notes on the system. The agent from Retentions apologized and said that there was a stock issue and then I received a call from his manager to say that I would be receiving it this week. On Friday last week, I received a call from a gent who said he would come through today at 11am to set me up. Then he called and said the stock hadn't arrived and he would come later. Then around 2:30pm he called to say the stock still hadn't arrived and it wouldn't come in for a few days. So tell me Cell C, how can you get a client's hopes up with a free handset, not give any feedback to the progress, arrange for it to be delivered but do not follow through
