MTN doesnt care about its curent customers

MTN released their new pricing on all of their contracts allocating more data and sms for the same cost, according to the press release i saw it sated "Existing MTN contract customers can migrate to any of the new Anytime packages from their current package without extending the length of their contract or having to take a new contract." however when i called MTNSP call centre (i got the same response from 4 different agents) i was advised that as I am on a promotional contract i am not allowed to qualify to migrate laterally - I pay extra for my handset (don't see what so promotional about it i am paying extra for this) and pay the same subscription yet i get less then a new subscriber (eg, I get 75MB data while a new subscriber receives 200MB).
Clearly MTN is willing to lose current customers when our contracts are up just to make as much money from us now.
