I upgraded my contract earlier this year - I have been a loyal MTN customer for many, many years and have really had good dealings with them despite their bad rep. I am so very disgusted at them now, though. I upgraded to the 200mb 200sms etc contract after having been convinced by the sales consultant that it is the best for me as my data consumption is quite high. She advised me that my usual 10 mb of data and 25 SMS would be used firstly and then the "promotional" bundles would kick in. At no point did she make it clear that MTN could unilaterally terminate the promotional bundles which they have done. I raised the complaint with the call centre who have referred me to the branch. I am however now out of pocket as I have no data, no SMSs and no airtime and an Android phone that only works optimally whilst connected to wifi or data plus I Iose out financialy by cancelling the contract prematurely. I feel that I was to. I will NEVER EVER EVER renew a contract with MTN again. Your staff are incompetent and our trust relationship is completely BROKEN. I am disgusted. Clearly you hide behind your contracts and reward good customers with shoddy service and empty "promotions".
