I went into the mentioned branch to apply f or contract phone, filled in all the documents I was asked to fill in and sign. As it was a new contract, I told the lady not to get me a new number with that contract as I already had a pre-paid sim card I wanted to change to contract. As is the process, I was called and notified that my application was successful and I have to go to the branch to collect my new phone. When I went to the branch the same lady handed me the phone accompanied by the documents I had to sign so read the first page which happened to have a new number so I told the lady there and then that i will not take the contract as a new number was not what I requested. She then explained the process that was to follow and asked me to send her an SMS with my number and Sim number which I did.

I later received confirmation that the contract was cancelled but when month end came, money for that contract was taken from my account. That is when I phoned mtn customer care and logged a case. I was told it would take 7-14 days. I phoned mtn again after the 14 days and I was told the consultant who assisted me logged an incorrect case so I asked that they log a case again.
