Waiting a month for a number change

I cancelled my contract at vodacom to switch to telkom mobile due to a very good contract deal they offered. Before I decided to take the contract at the Kollande branch, I asked the woman assisting me if it will be possible to port my vodacom number to my new telkom mobile contract once the vodacom contract is cancelled. She said it is possible, and I waited for my vodacom number to be migrated to prepaid. Once this happened, I went into the Glen branch and received brilliant service from Thabiso who tried his best to assist me. I waited for about a week for the change to happen, and nothing did. I then went back to the kollanade branch in order for them to assist me, and the same lady who said it was possible for me to do this, could not. Edwin, another gentleman at the kollonade branch did try, but also could not succeed. When I phone customer care, they say that the request has been completed successfully, but on the other system it is not. This process has taken more than a month. Somebody is not doing there job and I am paying for a contract I cant use due to me having to use my vodacom number. Can somebody at telkom mobile please help!
