I missed an account payment due to my salary date changing. I changed my debit order date, but received an email stating that I would suffer severe consequences should I not pay the outstanding amount on my account plus a reconnection fee within 7 days of receipt of the email. I paid the amount even though the cutoff date was 2 days before my revised debit order date.

Everything seemed fine, and my bank account had the exact amount of money in it that I needed to pay my remaining debit orders for the month and to cover a few personal needs.

Lo and behold, come my revised billing date, Vodacom put through 3 separate debit orders for my monthly installment amount.

Due to this all of my debit orders, as well as 2 of the Vodacom debit orders, have bounced at a charge of R115 per bounced debit order.

I have been told that they can affect a refund of the one that went through, but it will take up to five working days.

I refuse to accept this. Vodacom's has lead to these additional charges, and Vodacom should pay them!

I have not even received acknowledgement that my case has been received.

I am utterly sickened by this despicable behavior.
