Debit Order bounced - R 100 penalty fees???

I've been a Vodacom contact holder for /- 8 years & this is the first time I have had such a bad experence. I'm in the process of changing banks & requested my new bank to swap my debit orders for me. I received confirmation from all my other Debit orders that they would be going through as from January as requested but nothing from Vodacom. I then received a sms informing me that my Debit Order for Dec had not gone through. I contacted the accounts department on 04.01.2013 around 14h00 to find out why & then to arrange to make a payment. They tried to collect it from the new account which is only active from January 2013. They then informed me of the R 100 penatly fee. I feel that the Debit order not going through is not my fault & should not be penalized for their mistake. I tried phoning them today 10.01.2013 to finalise the payment & was bounce from one department to the other having to explain my story 3 times. The last consultant told me that I had to have changed the banking details because they would not allow the bank to do it on my behalf, well it was changed but form the wrong date. I'm due for upgrade, the phone is ready for collection... but do i really want too???
