Phone claimed to be 'fixed'

I took my phone in for repairs as the battery life on my Sony was not up to standard. I got the phone back in less than a week which was good. But in the repair quote, it said that the battery was reassembled, which i thought was weird because it needed to be fixed or replaced. So I left that and thought I'd give it a chance to see if it's actually fixed. But of course it isn't. I'm still charging my phone almost 3 times a day, battery life is non-existent. What must one do now? I refuse to pay for insurance that won't even do their job or pay for a contract when my phone isn't even operating at optimum levels.
