Cancelletion of my contract ignored

I have a 24 month contract with elite mobile and I want to cancel it because I cant afford it any more
and its a struggle for me to pay it. I've called their call centre for cancellation but they are making it impossible for me to do the cancellation whereas they said I need to settle the bill first before cancellation and I did, now they are not helping. I even called them again today but no one is assisting
