On the 15/12/2012 I went to 8.ta/Telkom the glen branch. I had read about the 60gig 60gig offering that they had. I was immigrating overseas and needed to stay in touch with my mom via e-mail and Skype etc.
I wanted something that I could pay upfront for the year which I did. I paid R1800 plus the modem fee.
The guy explained to us that my mom would have 5gig per month over a 12 month period to use.
At the end of Jan she could no longer use it. My brother made numerous calls and finally someone told him that the full R1800 had been used at a cost of R1 per MB. He was told that is was supposed to be "activated" or something like that for that specific package. During the time we were with the consultant there was no mention of this in fact while we were sitting there he was using a mobile phone that he had with him and told me he was activating the card. I asked him if there was anything else and he said no "just plug and play"... so now 3 months down the line we have no access to what I paid for. My brother has been to the glen branch but to no avail the consultant does not reply to him or return his calls. I would like urgent action taken I have paid upfront for this product...
