I was very unpleasantly surprised when I received a statement from 8ta/ Telkom Mobile billing me for the month of November, now this is particularly strange because on October 28 I was at a Telkom Mobile store in Newcastle where I was put in contact with their cancellations department as I wanted to get the full balance of 8ta contract account to pay it off so that I could cancel the contract.
I was told to pay a sum of R1055.83 and thereafter return to the Telkom Mobile store to fill in contract cancellation forms, WHICH I DID. The consultant at the store gave me a copy of the request for cancellation letter after faxing it to their head office, which is why I don't understand why 8ta/ Telkom mobile is still trying to charge me for a contract which is paid in full and has been cancelled by the consumer who was no longer even using the simcard in the first place.
Telkom Mobile needs to find another method to stay afloat because trying to rob me of my hard earned money JUST WON'T CUT IT!!!
