Some time ago, my mom ported from Cell C to 8ta on her prepaid mobile. The porting process went less than smooth, with the line being disconnected for 2 days.

This is where the problem started. Every since she ported, she cannot make calls to ANY Cell C phone. After some research I was told that 8ta needs to update the routing tables in order to get this working.

I have lodged 2 separate complains to 8ta, and then I get asked questions like "Is the phone switched on? "

After speaking to 8 different people and repeating myself countless times, still no resolution. This has been carrying on for 6 months now.

8ta customer care seems to be the most uneducated and incompetent bunch around. Can they not fix a simple problem like this?

My mom is an elderly woman, and rely on her cellphone a lot, especially in case of an emergency.
